Problem in Configuring SQL Server 2008 with VS2008?
Sometimes while installing SQL Server in some PC s with Visual Studio already installed, we may get an error saying
“A previous version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 failed..”
This error is due to the SQL Server Validation procedures.It checks some registry data.So the hack is in registry itself.
Open Registry editor by typing regedit in run command
navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DevDiv\
Rename the folder VS to VS1(you can give any name.)
That is the hack.Now try the setup again!!
